My story
My name is Anayat. I am born and raised in Michigan, but I am known for relocating at least once a year (I have a hard time sitting still). I am very close with my family, they are truly everything to me and a blast to hang out with. I am a middle child; I have two beautiful sisters who are my best best friends. I am grateful to have a family that supports me through all of my endeavors. I also have a 6 year old dog named Macie, who is my best friend too.
You must know that I have a strong passion for travel. For me, traveling to places less familiar forces me to step outside of my comfort zone and focus on similarities with other people, cultures and countries vs focusing on our differences, which I feel we were unconsciously trained to do. My love for travel began years ago, mostly within the States, up until 2018 when I embarked on a wild journey with my best friend Dana. Let me just say, if there is one thing I truly believe in, it is that you have a choice to be happy, everyday. I knew I had to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to travel to 10 countries in 4 months. Those 4 months impacted my life in so many ways, good and the ugly. I believe I was meant to take that trip for a reason, looking back I realize how that entire experience was such a huge part of my spiritual journey that I continue to navigate through.
I love journaling and taking pictures throughout my travels, it gives me something to always look back on and helps me remember the details of each experience. So, I decided to start my blog and website "Manifest Movement" to share my experiences and to provide resources for others that might be new to traveling. All the while keeping things real, telling you the good and the bad - that's what makes me different. I also decided to start this journey in hopes of inspiring others to see what else exists in this beautiful world. As someone who had no idea something that something like this was possible, I want to offer you faith and hope that anything is possible if you believe in it, cliché but true! Ultimately, believing in yourself and your ideas, making your wildest dreams come true. It is so important to have these things travel or not that force you to connect with the unfamiliar, unconsciously these things initiate growth.
It’s now 2020 and my brand has evolved, now including fitness, health coaching and still yoga of course. The name Manifest Movement still makes sense for this type of work I’ve transitioned to. Manifest is defined as clear or obvious to the eye or mind, movement is defined as an act of changing physical location or position. Personally, I relate manifesting movement to my physical body and energetic body, after all everything is energy. The physical and energetic movements are constant and present. The practice of yoga, physical fitness and listening to my body on a cellular level is all so important for me and my mental health, now I’m honored to get to share that with you!
Whether I am traveling or not, I always incorporate these practices into my daily life. I am not just talking about the physical yoga poses or moving my body in a certain way, but also through meditation, self-inquiry and self-study. My mission is to share with you how I use this practice to help keep me grounded and overcome personal challenges, meanwhile teaching YOU how to incorporate movement and wellness into your daily life. My greatest intention is to cultivate human connection through these practices, while constantly reminding myself we all have more similarities than differences, to unite. I will continue to practice cultivating self-love and appreciation for myself and my life, finding gratitude in everything. To feed my soul by seeing new places and connecting with new friends. To be completely present in everything I do and live with a full heart, giving and receiving all the love.
